Liability coverage rates for DJs are based on the number of systems you own. The rates for liability are $175 per year for the first system and $60 for each additional system. You must cover the maximum number of jobs you ever have running at one time. The coverage is $1,000,000 per event not to exceed $2,000,000 in one policy period.

Liability coverage rates for Bands are based on the number of members in the band. The rates for liability are $175 for the first person and $60 for each additional band member. You must cover the maximum number of people in the band. You cannot insure part of a whole so the band must be insured in its entirety. The coverage is $1,000,000 per event not to exceed $2,000,000 in one policy period. Bands must join WeDJ’s sister site WEDexperts to be eligible for the insurance. This policy does NOT cover bands working in venues with 10,000 or more people.

Inland Marine coverage can be purchased only with the liability. We will not cover equipment only. To insure your equipment, including your music library, the rate is $1.00 per $100 of the replacement value of the equipment you wish to insure. ($150 minimum premium) To insure equipment we need a list of each item you want to insure with the replacement costs. Only items listed are covered in the event on a claim. There is a $250 deductible per claim, except $750 per claim with respect of theft. Equipment coverage may be available on a separate non-association policy depending on your specific state's requirement and whether equipment coverage is required.

This summary is not an all inclusive description of the policy terms and conditions. Effective February 1, 2009, the WeDJ Insurance Program has become part of the Association of Professional Entertainers (“APE”), a purchasing group operating pursuant to the Federal Liability Risk Retention Act. There is a $20 annual membership fee for APE.  You will automatically become a member of the APE group once your WeDJ insurance application has been approved.  The membership fee will be invoiced at the same time as your premium.

You must be a Bronze (or higher) level member of WeDJ to gain access to the insurance program.
