The liability premium for wedding/event planners is $750 a year per planner. There is no additional fee for assistants. Liability coverage is $1,000,000 per event and covers any damage you do to someone else or someone else’s property. There is a $250 deductible for claims that involve property.
This coverage is for employees of the company only. All subcontractors need to carry their own insurance.
Inland Marine coverage can be purchased only with the liability. We will not cover equipment only. To insure your equipment, the rate is $1.00 per $100 of the replacement value of the equipment you wish to insure. ($150 minimum premium) We would need a list of each item you want to insure with the replacement costs. Only items listed are covered in the event on a claim. There is a $250 deductible for equipment claims. Coverage including Inland Marine in the state of New York and Oregon is available on a separate non association policy.
This summary is not an all inclusive description of the policy terms and conditions. Effective February 1, 2009, the WeDJ Insurance Program has become part of the Association of Professional Entertainers (“APE”), a purchasing group operating pursuant to the Federal Liability Risk Retention Act. There is a $20 annual membership fee for APE. You will automatically become a member of the APE group once your WeDJ insurance application has been approved. The membership fee will be invoiced at the same time as your premium.
