Effective February 12, 2009, the WeDJ Insurance Program has become part of the Association of Professional Entertainers (“APE”), a purchasing group operating pursuant to the Federal Liability Risk Retention Act. There is a $20 annual membership fee for APE.  You will automatically become a member of the APE group once your WeDJ insurance application has been approved.  The membership fee will be invoiced at the same time as your premium.

This group was formed to purchase the insurance so that the policy is valid in all states. This fee is to help cover the cost of licensing this group. This fee will be charged every year. The APE fee is related to insurance and has nothing to do with the WeDJ membership requirement.
